Cubic Cultivates Leadership Through Cultural Heritage, Creativity and Shared Experience

In the pursuit of excellence, sometimes we need to explore what truly shapes it.

Recently, the management team of Cubic Overseas Marketing Division gathered for a cultural and leadership experience that brought together art, nature, creativity, and wisdom passed down through generations.

As Su Shi, the renowned Song Dynasty poet, painter, and calligrapher, once wrote:

“Of all things delightful enough to please the heart yet not so powerful as to transform one’s nature, nothing compares to calligraphy and painting.”

The exhibition invited the team to experience the beauty of Chinese calligraphy. From the balanced structures of regular and clerical scripts to the flowing movement of running, seal, and cursive scripts, each shaped by its own rhythm, structure, and character.

The paintings offered another expression of cultural heritage. From mist-covered mountains and winding rivers and lakes to the scene of Qu Yuan ascending the mountain, these landscapes connected artistic expression with the history, nature, and cultural identity of Hubei, where Cubic is headquartered.

From the treasures of human culture to the wonders shaped by nature, beauty takes countless forms.

The team encountered a collection of uniquely shaped and vividly colored stones from around the world, where no two were alike. We marveled at forms and colors almost beyond imagination, while sensing the quiet traces of time and nature in each stone.

Nature shapes beauty through time and circumstance; people give it new form through imagination and creation. In Chinese culture, the vessel, or 器, has always carried craftsmanship, aesthetics, ideas, and memory. With brushes in hand, the same porcelain form became a canvas for individual expression. We were inspired by the creativity and talent revealed in each work, as every participant brought their own imagination and character to life.

Just as a work of art invites appreciation, experience is distilled into wisdom when it is shared and carried forward. In the leadership sharing session, newly promoted supervisors reflected on their transition into management, while experienced managers and directors shared insights and perspectives shaped by years of practice.

What we inherit shapes where we begin. What nature teaches us expands what we see. What we create reveals what we can become. And what we learn from one another gives experience the power to continue.

At Cubic, we believe meaningful growth comes from knowing what to preserve, having the courage to create, and having the wisdom to pass experience forward. This is how we cultivate people who can carry the best of what came before into what comes next.
