Cubic Achieves International Explosion-Proof Certification for TDLAS Methane Sensor Gasboard-2501

Additionally, the laser component is safety-rated under the IEC 60825-1:2014 laser safety standard. With these certifications, Cubic TDLAS methane sensor Gasboard-2501 is qualified for methane detection that applied in virtually all hazardous areas—excluding underground mines—including Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2, and Class I Division 1 and Division 2 environments.

Cubic Gasboard-2501 is developed based on Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology and is engineered with a modular tunable laser source, optimized gas chamber, and precision optical path, which ensures exceptional accuracy, stability, and selectivity in methane detection. Designed with narrow absorption spectrum, Gasboard-2501 is immune to interference from humidity, CO2, ethane, or other gases. It delivers a measurement accuracy of ±5% LEL within a 0–100% LEL range, with no false positives or negatives, and provides ultra-fast response, enabling real-time detection of methane leaks. Its modular laser design also ensures zero-drift and long-term stability, significantly reducing the need for regular recalibration or maintenance.
